OMI Fellow Speaks at CHOP Global Health Conference 2021

May 11, 2021

OMI alumnus Dr. Antonio Rizzolo Córdoba has recently been invited to give a talk at the 13th Annual CHOP Pediatric Global Health Conference taking place from October 29-30, 2021.

The CHOP Global Health Conference 2021 will explore how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected global child health and the deep concerns it has revealed. The pandemic has strained, and disrupted health systems in low-, middle-, and high-income countries and children have often been the hidden victims. This conference will gather global health experts, interdisciplinary leaders from around the world, and youth to discuss the challenges that COVID-19 has imposed on children’s health and wellbeing. We will also showcase strategies to mitigate its effects, highlight successes and lessons learned as we look forward to a better post-pandemic world. Attendees will leave the conference with a clear mandate, objectives and strategies to make up for lost time in child health both globally and in their local health systems.

Dr. Antonio Rizzoli CĂłrdoba is the Head of the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Service at Hospital Infantil de MĂ©xico Federico GĂłmez in Mexico City. He also works as a Professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and teaches specialties in behavioral pediatrics. Dr. Rizzoli CĂłrdoba attended the Salzburg CHOP Seminar in Behavioral Pediatrics in 2018 and the CHOP OMInar in Medical Education in 2021.

We are glad that OMI alumni contribute to such important medical conferences and we wish Dr. Rizzolo CĂłrdoba good luck with his presentation, which will certainly be beneficial to all attendees!
