We are thrilled to announce that the Open Medical Institute will host a satellite symposium in Cardio-Renal Metabolism and Protection from September 13 to 14, 2024, in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Keynote speaker Dr. Michal Vrablik from the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic will share the latest about cardio-renal metabolism and protection and lecture about medicinal products and interventions in the pipeline for cardio-renal protection.
Faculty from the region will talk about SGLT2 inhibitors and their role in cardio-renal protection (Dr. Belma Pojskić), the impact of obesity and glycemic control on renal function (Dr. Josipa Radić), as well as diabesity and CVD risk (Dr. Sanja Klobučar).
Fellows will have the unique chance to submit abstracts and present their clinical cases to the experts.
A round table session will focus on the crosslink between body composition and cardio-renal protection.
The symposium will be hosted at the Cantonal Hospital Zenica (September 13, 2024) and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zenica (September 14, 2024).
